Injury and Contract disputes

Consumer Bankruptcy
Chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code provides forgiveness of all your eligible debt. Some types of tax debt, secured debts, restitution, gambling debts, and a few others are usually exempted from the bankruptcy. There is a qualification process involving a means test, which we will discuss during your free consultation.
Municipality Bankruptcy
Chapter 9 of the Bankruptcy Code provides for the reorganization of municipalities. These include cities, towns, villages, counties, and even school districts.
Business Debt Reorganization
Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code provides for debt reorganization of business organizations. Chapter 11 debtors usually propose a plan of reorganization to the bankruptcy trustee in order to keep their business alive. They are then allowed to pay creditors back over time. People in business or individuals can also seek relief in chapter 11.
Farmer & Fisherman Bankruptcy
Chapter 12 of the Bankruptcy Code provides for adjustment of family farmer and family fisherman debts, as explained in the Bankruptcy Code.
Consumer Bankruptcy
Chapter 13 of the Bankruptcy Code provides for adjustments of debts for individuals with regular income. Chapter 13 debtors are allowed to keep property and pay debts over time, usually over the course of three to five years.
Foreign Debtors & Foreign Courts
Chapter 15 of the Bankruptcy Code is actually the U.S. domestic adoption of the Model Law on Cross-Border Insolvency, which was promulgated by the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law in 1997. It replaced section 304 of the Bankruptcy Code.
